Last updated: April 2026 · The 4th Principle Ltd

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Hoggl platform. They should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, Returns and Refunds Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, all of which form part of the agreement between you and The 4th Principle Ltd.

1. About Hoggl

Hoggl is a peer-to-peer marketplace operated by The 4th Principle Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Hoggl enables parents and guardians to buy and sell pre-loved children's items directly with one another.

By using the Hoggl app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and all associated policies in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

For any questions relating to these terms, please contact us at support@hoggl.co.uk.

2. Eligibility

To use Hoggl, you must:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Be a resident of the United Kingdom
  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account

Hoggl is intended for the sale of children's items only. Full details of what may and may not be listed are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at support@hoggl.co.uk if you suspect any unauthorised use.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or inappropriately.

4. Buying on Hoggl

4.1 Making a purchase

When you purchase an item on Hoggl, you are entering into a direct contract with the seller. Hoggl facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the sale itself.

4.2 Buyer protection

Every purchase made through Hoggl is covered by our buyer protection policy. Full details are set out in our Returns and Refunds Policy.

4.3 Fees

A small buyer protection fee is added at checkout. This fee is clearly shown before you confirm any purchase.

5. Selling on Hoggl

5.1 Listing items

By listing an item on Hoggl, you confirm that you are the rightful owner, the item is accurately described, it is legal to sell in the United Kingdom, and it is appropriate for children. Hoggl reserves the right to remove any listing we consider inappropriate or misleading.

5.2 Payments

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Funds are held until the buyer confirms receipt and satisfaction. Sellers are responsible for ensuring their Stripe account details are accurate. Hoggl accepts no liability for misdirected payments resulting from incorrect account information.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Sellers are responsible for dispatching items promptly and in appropriate packaging. Hoggl provides integrated shipping via our chosen carrier. Items sent outside of this system are not covered by buyer protection. Risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer once an item has been collected by the carrier and a valid tracking reference has been issued.

7. Disputes

If a dispute arises, both parties should first attempt to resolve the matter directly through Hoggl's messaging system. If a resolution cannot be reached, either party may escalate to Hoggl. We will review the available evidence and make a determination we consider fair and reasonable. Our decision is final.

To raise a dispute, please contact us at support@hoggl.co.uk with your order reference and a description of the issue.

8. Acceptable Use

You must use Hoggl in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy. Breaches may result in removal of listings, suspension, or permanent banning from the platform.

All content, branding, and technology forming part of the Hoggl platform is owned by or licensed to The 4th Principle Ltd. You must not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, The 4th Principle Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

11. Privacy and Data
